2:30 p.m. - "Shakespeare in Germany" by i Firenzi and Friends

i Firenzi and Friends presents a reprise of our performance of "Shakespeare in Germany" as seen at Atlantia's Twelfth Night!
Shakespeare's works were indeed performed throughout Europe during his lifetime, but not as direct translations of whole plays performed the same as in London.

Pieces of Shakespeare's works and plays with very similar characters and plots were seen throughout Europe as parts of larger performances.

i Firenzi and Friends present what could have been seen in a marketplace or other informal venue during the time period before 1600 as Shakespeare's works were spreading outside of England.

Twelve experienced actors will present a variety of speeches and scenes selected from Shakespeare's entire repertoire:

Master Robert Bedingfield - Falstaff monolouges from Merry Wives of Windsor- Act 3, Scene 5 & Act 4, scene 1
Herrin Genefe Wölfelin - Prolouge to Henry VIII
Lady Meriorie Matheson -  Phoebe's speech from As You Like It act 3 scene 5
Baron Manus MacDhai - Polonius's good advice speech
Baroness Sophia the Orange - Once More Unto the Breach from Henry V
Lord Charles Fleming & Lady Odile de Strasbourg - Bottom and Titania's love scene from Midsummer Night's Dream
Natanyel Violette - Puck's final speech from Midsummer Night's Dream
Lord Owyn Wolfe with Sophia- Othello and Desdemona's argument from Othello
Lady Genvievfe d'Estelle -  Viola's monologue at the end of Twelfth Night Act 2 Scene 2

10:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Saturn's Tree - arbor Saturnus - Morgan the Alchemist

Saturn’s Tree is a variation of the Philosopher’s Tree, which was believed to be required for the creation of the Philosopher’s Stone. Alchemists desperately sought the Philosopher’s Stone because it was believed to be the elixir of life and the gateway to immortality.

In an attempt to display some of the science of history, I offer you a combination of Zinc, Lead Acetate and Brass. Watch as crystals grow to form the ground and “leaves” on Saturn’s tree, right before your eyes, in a live demonstration of this process from start to finish.
